I have tried numerous “cheaper” bevelers before coming across Palosanto’s. I now realised I have wasted time and money in improving my craftsmanship. Theses bevelers are just so easy to use with its ergonomic and sharpness! I now have the complete set and am not intending to try anything else.
I just added another pistol grip edge beveler to my collection and I could not be happier! Just a joy to use , no pulling or tearing just buttery smooth slicing. And they look as good as they function- infact they even smell amazing. Just amazing wood crafted into a fine tool- truly functional art.
The sewing awls I ordered arrived extremely quickly, within 7 days, and as usual the design and build quality are excellent. Both awls, pistol grip and flat are extremely sharp out of the box, sit well in the hand and from experience stay sharp for years. This is the best scratch awl I've ever used. Nice fine point that leaves a lovely thin line to follow. Expertly crafted and beautiful to look at. Fantastic.
I have manual creasers from a few makers now and Palosanto makes the best in my opinion. The brass head holds heat a long time and the head is finely polished. Simply a great tool!
